More about Dr. Alexander Sah

Dr. Sah was born at Washington Hospital in Fremont, and thus has a deep commitment to the Bay Area community. He strives to practice medicine the same way his father did, a head and neck surgeon and Chief-of-Staff at Washington Hospital, with a patient-first emphasis and thorough and compassionate care. First and foremost, Dr. Sah prides himself on being available to his patients and developing long lasting relationships. Dr. Sah was drawn to orthopedic surgery because of the ability to help people relieve pain and thereby RENEW activities, RESTORE function, and RECLAIM their quality of life. He went east to Philadelphia for college and medical school and then completed his Orthopaedic training at Harvard in Boston. He pursued specialized fellowship training in minimally invasive and revision hip and knee surgery at Rush University in Chicago to have the tools to best serve his patients. Dr. Sah also has an interest in orthopedic research and remains active in publishing articles and presenting his work at national meetings. He believes that these endeavors are essential to provide the most current and reliable care to his patients. Dr. Sah performs less invasive hip and knee replacements, knee arthroscopy, as well as complex hip and knee revision surgeries. He also has expertise and specialization in partial knee replacement and partial patellofemoral replacement. He is the only surgeon at the Institute performing outpatient total hip and knee replacement, as well as anterior hip replacement.
